The Bieleks

The Bielek (also spelled Bjelek) surname comes into my family tree from the wife of my great-grandfather, Ludovit Durana, who was Apolonia Bielek.  She was the mother of my mother’s father Andrew  — my maternal grandfather.  Apolonia Bielek was the daughter of Antol (Antonius in Latin) Bielek and Apolya or Apollonia Kalinay.

This is the record of the birth of Apolonia’s sister Maria Theresia, born July 13 1846:

This record shows the birth of Pal or Paulus Bielek, another sibling of Apolonia Bielek, on July 30 1847:

This record shows the birth of Apollonia’s brother Andras Bielek on November 30 1848:

 

This record shows the birth of Apollonia’s sister Justina on Jan 30, 1851:

This record shows the birth of Paulus Bielek on Feb 9 1852:

This record shows the birth of Apollonia’s brother Matthias on Nov 2 1855:

 

This record shows the birth of Apolonia’s brother Antonius Bielek or Bjelek on Jan 14 1858:

This record shows the birth of my great-grandmother Apolonia Bielek on Feb 13 1860:

Her parents were Antonius Bielek (or Bjelek) and Apollonia Kalinay.  Seeking records for her parents, I find that her parents married on November 5, 1845.

I also find that her father Anontinus Bielek died on March 25, 1861, at age 35.

This would mean he was born in 1826.  So go to that year and search birth records….

However I find another record showing another Antonius Bjelek married to an Apollonia Bjelek, who died at age 50 on Sept 24 1866.  Is this showing the later death of Apollonia, or is this another Antonius?  If this is my Antonius Bjelek he would be born in 1816.
